Nusa Lembongan
Nusa Lembongan is one of 3 tiny adjacent islands off the coast of Bali. It takes about 2 hours to get there by catamaran.
The island, about 2 square miles, houses 3 hotels and restaurants that we know of, and a whole bunch of seaweed farmers.
The reason that there are so few pictures in this album is that we had a major technical disaster here. We ran out of space in the camera and, when I plugged the laptop in to download them, it died.
Thankfully, it later turned out that the power on this island just can't support a laptop, even with a full blown voltage regulator. Apparently, the government power plant only works after about 7:00PM or so and the hotels have to use their own generators. Pretty spooky and really cool at the same time.
Also fortunately, we were able to borrow a standard 35mm camera from the manager of our hotel, Rudi. Once these pictures are scanned we will put them up. There are some great ones of our motorcycle trip (yes, we rented one) and of the ceremonies on the beach. More on these when they arrive.
